?Game Content Ideas?

Instead of complaining and moaning like I usually do, I thought it might be a good idea for us to band together and give the development team some fresh content ideas on how to improve this game. I'll start this off! Feel free to submit your ideas on what you think would be fun in the comment section below! FYI, this is not a thread about anything other than new content that you would like to see implemented in order to give the game something other than the 5 vs 5 slug-fest!

I think there should be a city defence mode. There should be a map of a city, with key points highlighted. Places like “industrial district” and “radio tower” being points of interest, among many others. The point of the game mode would be to hold off these key areas from walkers. As a side note, I feel that walkers kind of got the shaft in this game and it would be refreshing to have a game mode centered around the invading dead! In the beginning the dead have the whole city. The objective is to clear each key location as well as the surrounding areas. Key locations give you bonus for each hour they are secure. For example, the radio tower would gift you either a shard of a character, rare ticket, or even a survivor note every hour it is secure! The prize is RNG related and so is the chance of it being overrun by the dead again. Each safe hour that goes by increases the odds of it being overrun again. The odds should be in your favor the first couple of hours though, to decrease repetitiveness. The chances are also in your favor if the surrounding areas that provide no gifts are free from the dead. However there is always a chance a herd moves into location offsetting the defense!

Here's where things get interesting. The battles are not the typical 5 vs 5 format. They are side-scrolling like an old-school beat-em-up game. Picture this, your characters are roaming through a street and fighting walkers. All of a sudden, an oil drum hurdles down the alley way and reveals a group that spawns more heading towards the group! Also, some legless ones crawl out of a dumpster nearby to attack the group! Meanwhile, some fall out of some windows in a building above the group. There will be highlighted areas on the field that character must hold for a certain amount of time in order to secure that area. Once secure, it stops spawning walkers there. Once all areas are secure, you capture that area and if it is a key area, you start acrueing the goods. Now in this mode, you can actually control each character and tell them where to go instead of it being static.

I thought about this and how fun this would be. It would also be neat to see more stylish walkers added to the mix. I think we have 3 now! I definitely think that number should be increased. Anyway, that's my idea of a good walking dead experience! Maybe even later they could do whisperers and what-not. Anyway, this would be both fun and rewarding, especially with all the difficult walls we face keeping us grounded! It would also be nice to see our characters act more lively. Imagine a herd spawns near the end of almost secure victory! This is what the walking dead is all about. All these twist and turns!
