Tips for Total War:

 - go with a full DPS formation and a good support that could boost their attack and energy, like Glenn. 

 - For Chaser it is good to have a tank that can taunt all the walkers and then someone like Rick Grimes who can do AOE damage

 - Use a good DPS mercenary

 - look at the faction of the boss and use a faction that will have improved attack against it

 - use 5 characters of the same faction so you get full bonus
