Developer's Note <1.13 Update News>

Greetings, Developer HAND here!

Did you know that upcoming June will be the first anniversary of TWD: All-Stars’ launch in Korea?

Therefore, we have worked to prepare various contents for the upcoming 1.13 update on May 22nd.

Since it’s our 1st anniversary ever since our first release in South Korea, we will be introducing <TWD in World>.

TWD in World is another set of stories apart from Buffalo, NY. The Walking Dead series will take place in other parts of the world, and you will get to see many different stories of the survivors in other parts of the world.

Let’s have a look at the details, shall we?

【TWD in World】

While we were brainstorming for new ideas, we started off with the question, how are others doing in other parts of the world? We wanted to branch off and create new stories based on other parts of the world. Since June 8th will mark the 1st anniversary of TWD: All-Stars’ first launch in Korea, the first series in “TWD in World” will take place in Korea.

In the case of South Korea, the Walkers have already dominated and the power to detain them has fallen. Therefore, the Survivors had no choice but to take shelter in an underground Subway station and we will get to see their survival stories from then on.

The stories for the new TWD in World series will be included in Chapter 41 and new Survival Records. We encourage all our TWD fans to read the stories and hope you all find it interesting. Since the series first takes place in South Korea, there will be new Korean characters added.

The TWD in World series will not just take place in South Korea but will take place in many other countries as well, so it will be fun to guess which part of the world we will tackle after South Korea!

#1 The Appearance of New Alignment

Along with TWD in World, there is a brand-new Alignment upcoming specifically for the new characters in TWD in World. Unlike other Alignments, the new Alignment, called the “Unknown”, will not have other Alignments Matchups. Only the characters from TWD in World will have the new Unknown Alignment, so we hope you all are excited for the new Unknown Alignment characters!

#2 New Character, JunHyuk

As for the new characters, the first Unknown character in TWD in World series will be JunHyuk. JunHyuk is an INT-based Technician who mainly uses a rifle against enemies and uses a grenade launcher as an Ultimate that deals hefty damage to enemies.

As you can see in the clip, JunHyuk’s attacks have strong, AoE damage and so we believe he will be very useful to you and your team.

#3 New Skin <Sharpshooter> for Sherry

A Technician in the Predator Alignment, Sherry receives a brand-new skin in the upcoming update. As a character who orders to snipe down weak enemies, this new, wild look for Sherry will be the perfect fit. We hope you all like it!

#4 New Library System

As a fan of The Walking Dead series myself, it's wonderful news that a new library system will be added to the game! For all those fans out there, you can now rewatch the Chapter stories that you have completed and obtain rewards for the completed Chapters! As you clear the Chapters, you will have a collection of Chapter stories in your library which you can access at any given time!

#5 Additional Adjustments for Lang

After going through all the feedback regarding Lang, we have decided to make additional adjustments to Lang. We realized that there is much more work to be done even after the last update with Lang, so we’ve internally discussed with the team to test out the new adjustments and Lang is now ready for another update.

<Main Adjustments>

Lang’s “Game” skill’s damage output has been adjusted.

BeforeWhen chasing after a hunted target, reduces damage taken by 20% for 5 sec.
AfterWhen chasing after the first hunted target, reduces damage taken by 80% for 5 sec. After that, chasing reduces damage taken by 20% for 5 sec.

- Lang’s motion time has been reduced and the time it takes to deal damage to enemy has been reduced as well.

- Motion time has been reduced for both “Menacing Look” and “Game” skills.

Although it took us some time to test out the new character along with Lang’s adjustments, we believe that the results will satisfy the needs of our Survivors. Please be a little more patient with us and you will find yourself liking the new look for Lang.

That’s about it for the upcoming 1.13 Update, the beginning of TWD in World.

You will get a glimpse of what’s to come through images in the Preview next week, so don’t worry. We expect this to be a big update, and so we are doing our utmost to deliver the best contents to you.

To let you know a little about the second 1.13 Update, there will be another character, YiLang, for the Unknown Alignment. YiLang is a Tank-class character and will synergize well with JunHyuk, the first Unknown Alignment character.

We hope you all are excited to experience the new stories in other parts of the world in TWD: All-Stars and we will be back when there is more exciting news!

Thank you!
