Now that I'm seeing other players posting snapshots of legendary and above (light blue with stars) tier. It would be great if the players that have gone further ahead let us know what are the mats required for those tiers or. So far what I know:

Epic + Epic = Epic plus

Epic plus + Epic plus (fodder)x2  = Unique

Unique + Epic plus = Unique plus

Unique plus + Unique plus (fodder) = legendary
