All-Stars 101: Secret Tips - Part 1

Hi, Survivors!

We’re back to provide you with some tips that you might not be aware of.

These tips include answers to common questions for Customer Support and other things that we think you’ll find useful. Let’s take a look!

  1. 1. Difference Between Regular Resources and Exploration Reports

As you know, Canned Food, Survival EXP, and Skill Manuals are crucial for your survival.

However, did you know that there are also time-based items that net you these resources?

For example, we have Survival EXP (S, M, L, and XL) and Exploration Reports (Survival EXP) (2H, 8H, etc).

The difference between these two items is whether or not they provide a VIP Bonus:

Item NameAvailable RewardsVIP Bonus
Regular Resourcesn hour(s) of worth of Exploration rewardsNo

Explanation Report

(Resource)

Yes

Regular resources don’t come with VIP Bonuses, so amounts are naturally lower compared to Auto Search.

On the other hand, Exploration Reports have the same reward ratio as Auto Search since they have VIP Bonuses.

  1. 2. Server Time and Weekly Reset

Server time for The Walking Dead: All-Stars is based on UTC. General modes are reset at UTC 00:00. This equates to 17:00 (PDT) / 16:00 (PST).

Tap your Profile if you’re ever confused about which time zone you’re in. You can find your time zone at the very bottom.

As for weekly resets, here’s when they happen for Weekly Quests, Mercenary, and Frontier:

Mode NameServer TimePST / PDT
Weekly QuestSUN 00:00SAT 16:00 (PST) / 17:00 (PDT)
MercenarySUN 00:00SAT 16:00 (PST) / 17:00 (PDT)
Frontier Outskirts / Center of the FrontierSAT 22:00SAT 14:00 (PST) / 15:00 (PDT)

3. Tips on Trading Post

Are you making good use of the [Trading Post] in your Town?

Sometimes, you can’t help but go on shopping sprees, you know?

You can purchase Skill Manuals, Torn Notebooks, and Toolboxes in the Normal tab.

Although Trading Post items are [automatically reset] on a regular basis, you can also [manually reset] them by spending a small amount of Gold Bars.

Resetting swaps the items you’ve purchased with new ones, which allows you to grab essential items within a short period of time.

The manual reset feature is separate for each tab. That means resetting the [Normal] tab won’t affect the [Community] tab!

However, unlike the [Normal/Community] tabs, the [Transfer/Supply Run/Frontier] tabs will have the same items even if you reset them.

Also, don’t forget to check reset costs before you proceed!

  1. 4. Reporting Chats

We know that our survivors strive to treat each other with respect in the world of The Walking Dead: All-Stars, but sometimes inappropriate messages and spam are inevitable.

Even though we have our monitoring system 24/7, some things admittedly slip past us.

Not to mention, we’re unable to look into individual whispers.

In most cases, you could simply add those offensive users to your Blacklist.

However, did you know that there’s a Report feature in-game?

By tapping and holding an inappropriate chat message, you’ll see <Copy/Translate/Report> buttons. Press the [Report] button to report the message.

Once you do, information about the chat and the user in question is sent to us. We’ll then proceed to take the appropriate measures.

If you don’t feel like contacting Customer Support, simply use this feature and let us know that you’ve reported a user on the [Bug & Issue Report] board in Forum. We’ll take care of it.

Make sure to use this feature whenever you spot inappropriate and offensive behavior!

  1. 5. Survivor Wish List

Many of you have asked us how to set up a Survivor Wish List. Here’s how to do just that:

Characters on your Survivor Wish List have a higher chance of being recruited, especially when you see that pink flash.

The Survivor Wish List can be summarized as follows:

  1. 1) You can add up to 5 characters for each alignment (excluding Overseer and Warlord).
  2. 2) If you add natural Rare characters, you’ll obtain them as an Epic tier.
*Make sure to swap characters in your Wish List if you don’t wish to obtain them as Epic characters.
  3. 3) After setting up your Wish List, tap the  button in the Recruit menu to view drop rates.

If you’ve raised a character to 5-Star Mythical already, be sure to swap out the character for a different one in your Wish List.

And that wraps up this portion of our Secret Tips!

Even if you already knew all of this information, we hope you still found it useful!

We’ll be back with more tips in the future, so stay tuned!
